Featured at honors night was almost four year old Drew Ericksen and his mom Annette from Benjamin. Drew suffers from a rare genetic disorder and has to have special glasses every six months. He is legally blind and can't see without them. He also suffers from eye tremors and two dimensional sight. The glasses help with the tremors and Drew has learned to compensate with the latter problem.
Drew reminds us all how precious sight can be, especially to one so young, and how important the work is that the Lions do as “Knights of the Blind”. Our thanks goes out to Drew and Annette for their great example and courage.
